Join the Reproductive Health Equity Project for Foster Youth (RHEP) as we unveil results from our 2023 Bi-Annual Youth Survey!
In 2019, 2021, and 2023, RHEP conducted interviews with youth ages 12-20 to understand how Los Angeles County’s youth in foster care receive sexual and reproductive health information and services. This webinar presents results from the third survey, conducted in the summer of 2023, including where youth get sexual health information, how they access care, and the barriers they face while highlighting differences based on age, gender, sexual orientation, or racial/ethnic identity. The presentation provides opportunities to discuss implications for policy and practice and possible next steps.
RHEP brings together youth in care and the agencies that serve them to promote systems that normalize, support, and promote the bodily autonomy and healthy sexual development of youth in foster care. Don’t miss the chance to gain insights, foster dialogue, and improve sexual and reproductive health outcomes for foster youth.
